FAQs

> Who is included in the panel?
There are approximately 20,000 Microsoft Partner Research Panel (MSPRP) members around the world. The panel is made up of Partners of all types (ISVs, VARs, Sis, etc.), and competencies.

> What will I have to do as a panel member?
As needs arise, research inquiries (such as ad hoc surveys, focus group, or one-on-one interviews) will be sent to you, but the decision to participate in any research request is entirely up to you. Basically, you can provide as much or as little feedback as you like. We will only send research inquiries that are relevant to you and your organization.

> How often will research be conducted with the panel?
Panelists will be invited to participate in ad hoc requests as research needs arise which are relevant to them. There is no “standard” research that will be sent out on a schedule. Partners will receive no more than three invitations per month.

Partners will also have the option to opt in to be contacted for other types of research, including focus groups and one-on-one interviews. These research requests offer an opportunity to provide more specific and in-depth feedback to Microsoft and are sometimes accompanied by an honorarium.

> What benefits will I receive from being a member of the panel?
Your voice will be heard in the research that helps shape the evolution of the Microsoft Partner Network. Microsoft is always striving to improve the program, and research like this provides valuable insight into how to make the program better from the Partners’ point of view.

> What information do I need at hand when registering?
The Microsoft Partner Research Panel (MSPRP) registration process will take roughly 10 minutes. Please have general information about your Partner level of membership, competencies, and business focus available.

> Will my contact information be used in any other way?
No. All contact information is used exclusively for the Microsoft Partner Research Panel. It is not shared externally from Microsoft in any way without your express written consent. Additionally, your feedback will remain confidential (even from Microsoft); your research responses will never be tied to your name or that of your organization without your express permission.

> How will the information be used?
The information gathered from the panel is shared with the sponsoring Microsoft business groups (Office, Windows, etc.) and other interested parties within Microsoft. All data gathered in web surveys is reported in aggregate; your responses will not be tied to your name or that of your organization.
